PRESS RELEASE: 116 Nonprofits Awarded for Exemplary Board Giving

Reno, Nev.: The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada is proud to announce that 116 local organizations achieved the 2023 100% Giving Board Award to celebrate National Philanthropy Day.

“A Board member’s role goes beyond their time – it means believing in the cause you are working towards. The 100% Giving Board Award recognizes board members who understand the impact their organizations are making,” said CEO Eaton Dunkelberger. “When the 100% Giving Board started, we recognized 13 charities. Every year we see more organizations go above and beyond to support their mission.”

Since 2008, the Community Foundation’s 100% Giving Board Award recognizes Northern Nevada nonprofits for the financial support their board members contribute to their organization’s work. In 2023, 116 organizations’ Boards gave back, amounting to $8,430,660 from 1,315 board members.

The Community Foundation celebrates nonprofit board members working together for our community and personally demonstrating their belief in the work being done. Congratulations to all 116 organizations and their boards who support their chosen cause by making an annual gift.
