February 22, 2018 Community Foundation of Western Nevada promotes Melissa A. Tschanz, CPA to Chief Financial Officer. Reno Nev - Community Foundation of Western Nevada today announced its first CFO, Melissa A. Tschanz. Tschanz’s commitment to Community Foundation of Western Nevada has transformed the Community Foundation’s internal financial systems and helped lay the groundwork for financial and investment systems that will ensure excellence as it grows. Tschanz will continue to be responsible for the Community Foundation’s financial records, financial reporting, and fund investments. She serves as staff lead for the finance, investment, and audit committees. Prior to joining the Community Foundation in 2013, Tschanz worked locally in public accounting after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno. ### Established in 1998 as a public nonprofit, the Community Foundation of Western Nevada has distributed more than $107 million in grants and scholarships from 220 charitable funds to strengthen our Nevada home.
